For Young Leaders
Young leaders around the world are hard at work creating a future rooted in true equity and freedom. We have a long way to go, but it’s impossible to spend time with leaders under 25 and not feel inspired and optimistic.
A Call to Men is deeply invested in our work with young people — and the adults who teach, coach, mentor, and parent them — because we believe that young people’s voices should be lifted up and centered in anti-oppression work.
Organizing with young leaders
We convened Youth ACT! — a group of young leaders “Actively Committed To” promoting healthy masculinity and healthy relationships, preventing gender-based violence, and creating a better world for ALL women, girls, men, boys, Trans, LGBQ, and nonbinary people. Youth ACT! is mentored by the Youth Empowerment and Support (YES) Squad, a group of A Call to Men trainers who inform and provide guidance to our Youth ACT! cohort members and A Call to Men’s national youth work. Youth ACT! offers a series of interactive workshops on gender and racial equity for high schools and colleges.
For college students, we offer the Live Respect on Campus Toolkit, including a slide presentation and other materials for students to organize to advance healthy manhood and prevent gender-based violence at their college or university.
Partnering with parents and educators
For parents, educators, and coaches, we offer our Live Respect curriculum (gender and racial equity training and tools for middle and high school boys) free of charge for teachers, coaches, administrators, anyone else who works with youth. We also run custom workshops and trainings online and around the world — from two hours to two days — with K-12 schools, colleges and universities, athletic programs, and community groups.
We want to hear from you
