Rej Joo (he, him, his)
Rej Joo is the DEI Director at Oregon Law Center. He was born in Seoul, South Korea, and grew up in Portland, Oregon. Rej earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in gender studies from Wagner College in New York City. He later completed his master’s degree program in public health from the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University.
Since 2005, Rej has been working with various communities (homeless youth, LGBQ and trans youth, survivors, and those affected by mental illness) in the capacity of community education & organizing, training curriculum development, case management, research, and social service. Rej enjoys gardening and is an avid student and fan of all martial arts. He is a self defense instructor and holds a black belt in Hapkido and Taekwondo.
