Violence prevention is the primary outcome of A CALL TO MEN’s work.  A CALL TO MEN is internationally recognized for training and educating men to embrace and promote a healthy, respectful manhood.  The organization’s approach is grounded in the social ecological model, advocated by the Centers for Disease Control, as a framework for primary prevention of gender-based violence.

A CALL TO MEN recognizes that the underlying causes of violence and discrimination against women are rooted in the ways women and girls have been traditionally viewed and treated in our society.  Men are socialized to view women as objects, the property of men, and of less value than men.  These ideas are taught to men – sometimes unconsciously – and reinforced by society.

A CALL TO MEN educates, organizes and empowers men and boys to understand this connection and know how to positively address these social issues.  We partner with schools, universities, corporations, government, social service agencies, military installations, communities to end all forms of violence and discrimination against women and girls.

A CALL TO MEN has 20+ years of experience working with and training men, from the National Football League, the National Basketball Association, Major League Baseball and the National Hockey League, to the United States Military, the Department of Justice and the United Nations.
