The Live Respect Curriculum: Train-the-Trainer Online Sessions

A Call to Men’s is offering a limited opportunity for individuals seeking to be trained by our team to facilitate our Live Respect and Healthy Masculinity Curriculum: Life Skills and Well-Being for Boys and Young Men

This train-the-trainer is a dynamic virtual opportunity designed to prepare participants to intentionally facilitate the curriculum while learning more about the framework surrounding the content and our own approach to youth engagement at A Call to Men. Through interactive learning, guided reflection, and practical application moments, participants will begin building the confidence and skills needed to lead meaningful conversations with young people about healthy masculinity, respectful relationships, consent, accountability, and violence prevention.

Whether you are new to the curriculum or looking to deepen your facilitation practice, this training offers a strong foundation for actualizing the possibilities, reach, and future impact of Live Respect in your local initiatives.

Together, We Will:

  • Explore A Call to Men’s framework of the collective socialization of boys and men. 
  • Examine data surrounding Gen Alpha and Gen Z while reflecting on your own journey and resources as a youth advocate. 
  •  Walk through each lesson to gain familiarity with the content. 
  • Unpack insights from our staff and trainers based on almost a decade of implementing, facilitating, and supporting youth advocates in Live Respect. .

  • Educators
  • School counselors and social workers
  • Coaches and athletic staff
  • Mentors and youth advocates
  • Community-based organization staff
  • Anyone supporting boys and young men in their growth and well-being

Training format

This is a virtual, Zoom based training designed to be interactive, reflective, and practical over two full days. The training times are in the Eastern Standard Time Zone. 

As a result of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Define healthy masculinity and articulate the core objectives of the Live Respect Curriculum. 
  • Evaluate the ecosystem of support for youth in their community to help map potential pathways for engaging boys and men.
  • Explain the importance and impact of generational dynamics interpersonally for introspective reflection as an intentional facilitator.  
  • Recall tips and considerations for each of the 12 lessons of the Live Respect Curriculum.
