Ms. Kimya N. Motley is an inspirational speaker, author, and subject matter expert for Intimate Partner Violence. She is a certified educator in the state of Georgia with more than 20 years of teaching experience in the public-school system.
She received a bachelor’s degree in a dual program with the College of Family and Consumer Sciences and the College of Education from the University of Georgia. Additionally, Motley received a master’s degree in counseling psychology from The University of Missouri. Motley has received numerous awards, commendations, and other recognitions for her work as an educator and advocate.
In November 2017, Motley released her memoir, Born of Violence, which made it to number four on the Amazon Hot New Releases List for Partner Abuse within a month of its release. Born of Violence is an inspiring account of survival and God’s display of love amidst tragedy, and a moving call to action to victims of domestic violence.
