Isis “Momma Bey” Bey, LCSW, CCTP II

Ms. Bey is the founder and owner of Harmony Health Therapeutic Services and an Adjunct Professor with multiple Universities. Ms. Bey is also an NC Supervisor for Clinical Social Workers. She is a trainer and consultant. Ms. Bey completed her Graduate education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has over 25 years of experience working with children and families and training. She is Nationally Certified as an Advanced Level Complex Trauma Clinician, Gang Specialist, and Triple P Parent Provider.

Her experience in the clinical field includes but is not limited to Crisis Intervention, Assessment, Individual, Group, Couples Counseling, and Trauma. She also has experience using Mindfulness, Somatic Experience, Spiritual Social Work, African Drumming, and Dance as therapeutic tools.

Her training/consulting experience includes Advocacy, Ethics, Implicit Bias, Systematic Disparities, Anti-Racism, Group Therapy, Child Welfare, Parent Education, Criminal Justice, Gang Intervention, Human Trafficking, Domestic violence, and Teen Dating Violence.

Ms. Bey has taught courses in Group Therapy Advanced Practice, Human Behavior in the Social Environment, Interpersonal Skills, Trauma, and Social Work Practice, Generalist Social Work Practice, Social Work Ethics, Advanced Level Practice, Field Instruction, and more.

Ms. Bey offers treatment, training, and supervision through an Eclectic Humanistic Social Justice Approach, which is person-centered, anti-racist, and strengths and resilience-based. The belief is that the participant is the expert on their life experiences.

She is a partner who guides and coaches in the treatment or learning process, offering tools, feedback, resources, experiential learning, skills, and techniques to assist the individual in healing or learning. She uses treatment modalities that are trauma-informed, anti-racist, healing-centered, and evidence-based. Momma Bey does not accept clients; she provides training, consulting, supervision, and program development.
