Cedric F. Brown, APR, MPRCA, is A Call to Men’s first in-house director of digital strategy, overseeing the organization’s social media, website, and overall online presence.
Cedric’s decade of expertise in public relations includes the use of analytics and research to develop content that achieves social impact and produces equitable outcomes. His passion to make a difference stems from his past volunteer work as a freelance consultant for community organizations in his native, Detroit, Michigan.
Prior to A Call to Men, Cedric was a digital campaigns strategist at Advancement Project National Office, a racial justice nonprofit that combines community organizing with legal expertise to build power for Black and Brown people. In his role, Cedric developed content campaigns with national names like Ben & Jerry’s and Players Coalition Charitable Foundation, and provided counsel to grassroots groups across the country. Cedric’s prior experience also includes time at Hager Sharp, where he implemented social media strategies for education clients, primarily the National Assessment of Educational Progress.
Cedric earned his Master of Science in Public Relations from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Management from Northwood University. In addition, Cedric is Accredited in Public Relations by the Public Relations Society of America.
