Community Conversations: Youth Perspectives on Gender, Race, and Mental Health

with Josué Argüelles, Jasmin Langomas, Emmi Moelleken, Christian Jean-Pierre

Giving young folks the tools they need to promote healthy manhood, authenticity, gender equity, and inclusion is the best antidote we have to challenge the negative influences of the Man Box. But while we are teaching, we are also learning – young people push us to imagine new systems and challenge our biases, to innovate and persevere.

Just in time for back-to-school season, we sat down with members of our Youth ACT! group – a cohort of young leaders actively committed to promoting healthy masculinity and healthy relationships – to talk through the unique challenges facing our youth today (from gender inequality to racial unrest to selfie culture) and discuss how we can empower young voices to be part of the solution.
