RaKim “RahK” Lash is a neoteric scholar-practitioner, leader, educator and mentor in the areas of diversity and inclusion in higher education. Throughout his career, he has presented workshops and presentations at the campus, local and international level on leadership and diversity, implemented new-ongoing campus-wide diversity programs, and has served on numerous committees responsible for bridging campus and community initiatives.
Lash is the Assistant Director for Multicultural Affairs at Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY, where he is dedicated to building an inclusive climate that provides educational opportunities to all students to support their professional growth and personal development while creating culturally validating spaces for students of color. Prior to this leadership role, he served as a residence hall director in The Office of Residence Life at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, AR.
Lash continues to establish his distinction as a developing leader by advancing existing opportunities and advocating for new initiatives and programs on campus and in the community. He is an active brother of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and the President of Boys 2 Men, a new community effort to engage young men of color in conversations about the collective socialization of boys and men to encourage healthy masculinity.
