Davi Mozie

Davi Mozie is a trainer, facilitator, advocate and community organizer.  Mozie is an expert in violence prevention strategies for military and youth.  She developed a passion for health and wellness while serving as a combat medic in the U.S. Army and is the founder of FIT for Peace Inc., a violence prevention organization that uses physical activity to develop youth leadership, encourage healthy lifestyles and relationships, communication, teamwork, conflict resolution, respect, and personal responsibility.  

She has facilitated A CALL TO MEN’s National Training Institute at military bases including Okinawa, Japan.  Mozie is the co-founder of Boys2Men: The Next Generation of Manhood, a mentorship program using A CALL TO MEN’s LIVERESPECT™ Coaching Healthy & Respectful Manhood curriculum.  She is a recipient of Cornell University’s Public Service Centers' Civic Leader Fellow Award, and leads a county-wide Healthy Masculinity Project fostering community and university collaboration around violence prevention. Mozie coordinated intimate partner and gun violence prevention programs at the Delaware Center for Justice. She served as the center’s director of adult offender services and statewide inmate grievance monitor, developing and enforcing policy, and providing advocacy for offenders. She also developed the departments prison-based re-entry program.  Mozie is interested in addressing the intersection of violent neighborhoods and chronic disease, and is passionate about building healthy, safe and strong communities.
